Make time to move!

Make time to move!

Mental Health UK found that 56% of people said regular exercise helped them manage stress and burnout but as a country, we are moving 20% less than we did in the 1960s! Find your way to buck the trend by moving in whatever ways make you happy. You don’t have to join the gym or dive in the pool, even though the student (and staff) discounts are lovely – dance, move, join a sports club or any other activity, including voluntary work that gets you moving.

Walking around campus and setting a timer to get you on your feet and moving between blocks of concentrated study is a great start and may help you retain more and perform better.

You can get more inspiration and find out how others are motivated to get moving on the Mental Health First Aider England blog.
