Library donations form the foundation of a new African university library collection
The University Library recently donated a large collection of our older books to a new University in Nigeria, the Cosmopolitan University in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria. This new North African university’s Vice-Chancellor is Prof. Carl Adams, former professor of Computer Science here at the University of Portsmouth. The books form the foundation of their new university library collection, and we hope they will support the flourishing higher education system in North Africa.
