We are delighted to welcome you back to the freshly refurbished ground floor.  We hope you will enjoy the new shelving arrangement and the increased sense of space and freedom!

Social study

The whole of the ground and first floors are now one huge social study space continuous with the large café and a wide variety of different study environments, desk and seating styles, and brand new facilities like the Presentation Area for you to explore.  Discuss your work and problems with your friends, work together and practice presentations in the American diner style booths and the Presentation Area.

Expect an energising buzz when you come to work here!  Plug your laptop into the power and network cable ports underneath almost all the new tables and enjoy uninterrupted computing or take advantage of the hundreds of new networked computers on offer.

Meeting pods: islands of tranquillity

If you want to break out into lively discussion, please think of your neighbours and use the new meeting pods.  They are as sound proofed as a group study room, so you can escape all distractions and talk loudly without upsetting anyone studying nearby!

Silent Individual Study

If you crave a quiet place to study, the top floor is for you.  The entire second floor is now a food free, silent individual study zone: a space where you can read, study and revise without distractions.  Borrow a laptop from the lockers on the ground floor or connect your own device to our high speed wireless network.
