Help keep your bike safe!

We all wish we could leave a bicycle standing around and be certain we will come back to find it waiting for us, but sadly it is necessary to take precautions to protect our property from theft. That’s where the Bike Register comes in – the police and council will help you security tag and register your bicycle for free.

Security-tagged bicycles are much less attractive to casual bike thieves, and should your tagged and registered bicycle be stolen and then recovered by the police, which often happens, it will be easy for the police to return it to you. One of the biggest problems with bicycle theft is that the police recover a bicycle only to find they cannot identify its owner.

Get your bike marked and registered for free on the plaza outside Ravelin Sports Centre anytime between 1.30 – 3.30 pm on Thursday 27 March.
