Change your mind: 57 ways to unlock your creative self by Rod Judkins

“Great artists, designers, musicians and writers are … ordinary” is the reassuring opening statement of this book. I chose it because it looked accessible – something I could dip in and out of, read on my journey to work. I also thought it might help me to think like you creative students.

Here are some suggestions that I’m going to try out for the new term to keep the creativity flowing:
‘Think in images’
‘Control technology – or it will control you’
‘Don’t leave ideas in your head’
‘Simplify’

Here’s some things I won’t be doing just yet:
‘Give up the day job’
‘Do what you like’ – in certain circumstances only!
