Leporellos: BA (Hons) Illustration: Professional Skills Development

The First Floor cabinet displays a selection of work by Level 5 BA (Hons) Illustration students studying the Professional Skills Development module.  The module focuses on the practice of drawing as an integral part of illustration, exploring a range of activities that inform design thinking and applied creativity.  Informed by observational drawing, the students were required to illustrate an eight panel leporello with a cover that responded to one of the following themes: Nature and Growth, Time and Place, Eavesdropping, or Illustration Studio.

The cabinet on the Ground Floor displays some leporellos from our Library collections.  A search on the Library Catalogue for concertina reveals some more titles.  We also have lots of books about book design if you would like to explore creating your own.

Thank you, students, for sharing your beautiful coursework with us.
