Working towards a truly accessible library for all

Working towards a truly accessible library for all

We want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy everything the Library has to offer. We believe cognitive, sensory, mobility, and other differences should not be a barrier to getting the most from your Library, and so offer additional services we hope will remove any barriers to your learning. Take a look at this quick video to find out what we offer everyone, and what additional services we offer people with visual and mobility challenges.

The work of building a more inclusive service is never done and we are continually facing down wicked problems and unique architectural and service challenges as we examine our services and learn more from our clients. If something feels unfair, frustrates you, or does not serve you well – whether you consider yourself able-bodied and neurotypical or not – please let us know. We love to learn from our clients as much as we like to anticipate your needs ahead of time to make your lives easier.

Assistant Librarian (Promotions) at the University Library. An enthusiastic advocate of libraries, diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice for all, inside and outside the workplace.
