Logging into British Pharmacopoeia (January 2025 update)
The British Pharmacopoeia online has been updated and now uses the familiar institutional login process. Here’s a walkthrough of how to log into the new system:
Finding the British Pharmacopoeia
Search for “British Pharmacopoeia” in the Discovery Service or Library Catalogue and follow the link to the British Pharmacopoeia website.
Logging into the British Pharmacopoeia
- Click on the blue Login button. (Ignore any messages about institutional subscriptions. If you run into any difficulties logging in, chat to a librarian online or in person during staffed Library Help Desk hours.)
2. Click on the blue Login via your institution button. (Again – ignore any messages about logging in.)
3. You will be asked to choose which institution to use to log in. Search for “portsmouth” and choose University of Portsmouth from the list of subscribing institutions.
4. Login as if to Moodle, using your student username and password.
5. Once you reach this screen, you have successfully logged into the British Pharmacopoeia and should be able to view it online.
If you encounter any difficulties at any stage, please contact the Library immediately via online chat. We will either be able to help immediately or set about fixing your challenges.
