Upgrading our computer network

Upgrading our computer network

We are upgrading our computer network to ensure we continue to provide reliable, high speed computing facilities this week (between 28-31 October).  This means that over the next few days, we will need to make small clusters of student computers unavailable for the duration of the work, which will impact Areas 0B, 1B and 2B of the Library, better known as the café side of the ground floor and the areas above it, where the books with shelfmarks 700-999 are shelved.

Please look out for the signs warning you that desktop computers and docking stations in an area are temporarily unavailable. Desktop computers and docking stations in the rest of the Library will be unaffected and you will be able to connect to the wireless network everywhere in the Library.

We have timed this work to minimise disruption but thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out this essential upgrade work.
