Celebrating our international students and colleagues at the University of Portsmouth

A classic British summer day of wind, cloud and rain did not stop the smiles and fun at the ‘Celebration of our International Students and Staff’ which took place on Gun House Green in the beautiful Ravelin Park here at the University of Portsmouth. Besides the interesting stalls and great music, Bollywood and Afro-fusion dancers entertained us and great Caribbean food filled us up!

University Library staff took along some of the collection of the Outside in World Children’s Books in Translation books which we are privileged to look after here at the University of Portsmouth.

Outside In World Children’s Books in Translation is a prestigious collection of international books that have been translated from their original language into English so they were the perfect choice for this special day.

We made bookmarks inspired by the collection.

Members of the public, students and staff are welcome to come and enjoy this stunning collection. For further details, see our page for visitors here and for more information on the Outside in World Children’s Books in Translation collection, please see here.
