Award winning children’s book publisher Lantana have just announced that The Invisible Story has been nominated for the Carnegie Medal 2025 in the illustration category, which is fantastic news for this wonderful book. The Invisible Story was the subject of our recent exhibition relating to braille books.

Copies of The Invisible Story by Jaime Gamboa & Wen Hsu Chen are available from the Outside In World Children’s Books in Translation collection in the Library. We also have El Cuento fantasma and The Ghost Story in this collection by the same creative team.

You can discover and explore the other nominated titles for the Carnegie Medals for Writing and Illustration before the winner is chosen. The Carnegies are the UK’s longest running children’s book awards. Organised by CILIP, the UK’s library and information association, the nominated books for this prestigious award are judged by librarians.
