Duty librarians are back!

Did you know you can chat to a librarian in person again in the library? We had to suspend this service before Christmas in line with Government guidelines but now we are back in force.

Sometimes there is nothing better than sitting down with someone in person and being shown how an eresource works, developing your search strategies, exploring complex referencing problems for a book in hand or having an expert show you how to build a more sophisticated and effective search from scratch.

While we can do all of these things through online chat, you can once again also sit down opposite a friendly librarian in person and work through your problems side by side in a safe, socially distanced fashion. Ask our friendly reception team where to find the duty librarian or wander around by the IT Help Desk and look for the open door to the Duty Librarian’s office 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday.

Please remember to wear a face mask when you visit to keep everyone safe!
