Not just there to look pretty

Our glass cabinet display isn’t just there to look pretty and stop people falling into the book returns sorter, although it admittedly does both rather well.  You can borrow any of the books in these cabinets.  We just put them behind glass for their own protection because they are delicate, have loose parts, or are boxed games or card sets that would fall apart rather quickly if left to the mercy of our open bookshelves!

Just ask someone at the Library Help Desk to unlock the cabinets so you can get hold of anything you want to look at or take home.
