From “Pokemon Go” to “Parasite Hunt”

An advert fro the Thai Parasite Hunt appIf you are an avid collector of Pokemon, or indeed just have a passing familiarity with Pokemon Go, you may be interested in how the game concept has been used by a university in Thailand to teach children in rural communities about the risks of parasites.  Children hone in on, find and capture virtual parasites using their mobile phones in the same way as Pokemon Go but then get to read about the parasite, how it can be caught and the harm it can cause before answering questions and receiving a score with the top scorers winning prizes.
