Prayer spaces during Ramadan

As Ramandan (Sunday 5 June, to Thursday 7 July) is upon us the University expects increased interest in prayer spaces.

These are:

  • The Chaplaincy prayer rooms in Nuffield – available between 0900 and 1700 (1600 on Fridays)
  • Mercantile prayer rooms – available from 2100-0030.
The Nuffield hall is booked for Friday prayers until the start of the new academic year.  Because of building works in Mercantile and building restrictions in Nuffield, there is no facility between 1700-2100 or between 0030-0900.  The evening provision is also only for the month of Ramadan, and so will come to an end on 7th July, after which the only prayer facilities will be Chaplaincy until 1700 (1600 on Fridays) and the Nuffield hall for Friday prayers.
