Pablo in P&M – The stamp of approval

Copy-of-Processing-(stamping)-journalsI asked one of the nice Library Assistants why we still had any journals in print. “Is it because some people like to harken back to “ye good olde” days when electronic resources were limited to light switches and portable heaters?” I asked.   In part, yes, I was told but some magazines are only available in print, while others are cheaper overall if the Library buys the printed version as well.  They patiently explained that it was something to do with a vat of tax that electronic resources have.   I hope I never fall into one of those!
