Wear A Hat Day 2015
We have been celebrating Wear A Hat Day in the Library again this year, with various members of staff dressed up in a motley assortment of hats to raise funds and awareness as part of a national campaign for Brain Tumour Research. This charity aims to raise at least £7 million each year to create seven Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence across the UK, and to help make strides in brain tumour research in the UK so we can offer anyone with a brain tumour a better outcome, now and in the future. People like the late Jane Paine (pictured left), a librarian who worked at the University Library. Fondly missed by those who knew her, her illness is the reason we still celebrate Wear A Hat Day today.
