The world’s smallest movie!
Is this the new Atom Ant? Did you ever see such a charming example of creative science technology.
In 2012 IBM created a film starring Adam the atomic dancer using 12 atoms.

The film has gained recognition by Guinness World Records as the world’s smallest film.
Currently it takes one million atoms to store a single bit of data. IBM now think they could reduce this to 12 atoms.
IBM has also been inspired by Star Trek to create the images using the same technique as the Adam film. See the IBM website for details.
