Getting things from the ground floor

2014-06-04 #1Almost everything has now disappeared from the ground floor.  The remaining study seating on the ground floor will go tomorrow and the ground floor closes completely for the refurbishment at the end of this week.

You can still get books we hold in stock.  Anything you cannot get from the shelf as usual, which at the moment is all the ground floor journals and books/DVDs with shelf mark numbers between 001-329, you can reserve online by reserving copies held in stock through the Discovery Service or Library catalogue.  From today, you can reserve any 7 day or 4 week loan items, even if copies are shown as “available”.  There is no longer any need to use the printed reservation cards.

From next week, you can collect most books shown as “available” online from Area 1B.  Items you reserve should be available from one working day (Monday-Friday) after you reserve them online.  All 7 day and 4 week loans borrowed over the summer will be due back shortly after the start of term.  As mentioned previously on Liblog, 1 day loan items in contrast cannot be renewed at all over the summer.  These will always be due back at 1.30pm the next day the Library is open and cannot be renewed by any means.
