Online chat – it’s a lot like texting

Are you an avid fan of twitter?  Do you live to send texts?  Is Facebook Chat the hub of your social life online?  Did you know that it is just as easy to get expert advice by messaging a friendly member of library staff online?

  1. Click the Chat with a Librarian icon on the Library website between 11am – 3pm any weekday during term-time (except bank holidays).
  2. Enter a name – anything you are happy for us to call you will do.  The joy of the chat system is that it requires no login and is completely anonymous.
  3. Enter your first question and chat away!

Give it a try next time you need help.  We look forward to chatting to you soon!

Technical note

A few people find they need to refresh their Apple iPads to make them show they have connected and we regret the service often works poorly with iPhones, to the point we would recommend you get in touch through one of the other many ways you can contact us, such as by telephone or email, or through Facebook or Twitter.

Assistant Librarian (Promotions) at the University Library. An enthusiastic advocate of libraries, diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice for all, inside and outside the workplace.
