If you’ve found an image on the web and want to know more about where it came from then you might find the TinEye reverse image search engine useful. It finds out where an image came from, how it is being used, if modified versions of the image exist, or if there is a higher resolution version.

The examples shown under ‘Cool Searches’ http://www.tineye.com/cool_searches are quite interesting.
