Daily Courant

On this day in 1702, the first British newspaper, the Daily Courant, was published. The content of its two columns was largely foreign news with no comment on them thus allowing readers to make up their own minds:


A bit different to the monster papers we have today with their suppliments, TV guides and letters pages!
