Autumn Equinox
Today is the Autumn Equinox marking the start of Autumn. An Equinox marks the point in the year when day and night are of equal length. The Autumn Equinox signals the end of summer and for our Pagan ancestors it was the final festival of the harvest season before the dark descent into winter. If the harvest was good they would celebrate with a festival to thank the goddess – a tradition that has continued in the Christian religion.
