World Towel Day
Here’s one for all Douglas Adams fans: today is Towel Day, celebrated on this day each year in tribute to the late author Douglas Adams. As any Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy fan will tell you, towels are essential for anyone going on an intergalactic trip across the Universe. Here’s the Official Towel Day website along with Douglas Adams’ own page:
So make sure you froods have your towels with you today!
And for all those in the Cheltenham and Gloucester area you may fancy taking a trip to Cooper’s Hill where you could be in with a chance of winning a round of Double Gloucester Cheese… providing you can chase it down a hill and get there before anybody else.

WARNING: Thing of the Day would like to remind you all that although chasing cheese down a hill can be good fun it is important to consider your own safety and the safety of those around you. Otherwise someone could get quite cheesed off…
